Meg and Mog

British author Helen Nicoll writes a wicked storybook about a little witch, Meg and her cat Mog.  The illustrations are very juvenile but somehow they work.  As Meg gets dressed, her frown starts to turn into a smile.  She eats breakfast with her owl and Mog.  Then she meets her friends to brew a spell which turns all of them except Meg into mice.

The illustrations were inspired by traditional Polish embroidery and have bold backgrounds. Great book for a Halloween storytime!
